Toberman Academy After School Program
Volunteers are needed to provide academic support during our after-school program for kids ages kindergarten through 8 grade.
Enrichment Activities
We offer enrichment activities that are fun and engaging for our kids. We can use support in bringing in new activities such as, ballet classes, karate classes, zumba, science experiments, and music instruction.
Special Events
Food Pantry
Volunteers are needed to set up, breakdown, greet, serve, register, and serve as live auction runners.
Volunteers are needed to assist in the food pantry to sort and/or pack meals during scheduled open hours. We are not currently accepting volunteers for this program to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Administrative
Thrift Store
Volunteers are needed to assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Volunteers at the Toberman Neighborhood Thrift store spend their time sorting donations in our thrift store.
Grab & Go Meal Program
Beginning in March 2020, Toberman offers 200 meals a day to the community during our Grab & Go meal program. Volunteers are needed to help pass out the meals.
Requirements
Volunteers who would like to serve on a continuous basis will be required to fill out paperwork, provide negative TB test results and live scan fingerprinting. TB test not required for high school student volunteers enrolled in LA Unified Schools.
