Community Food Pantry

Nourishing Families. Restoring Dignity. Strengthening Community.

At Toberman Neighborhood Center, food is more than a basic necessity—it’s a powerful act of care, stability, and hope. Our Food Pantry serves as a lifeline for thousands of families facing food insecurity throughout the Harbor Area, including San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor Gateway, and Harbor City.

Each year, we distribute over 340,000 pounds of food, helping to alleviate food insecurity for countless families. Serving over 5,000 households, averaging about 445 households per month.

Each week, shelves are stocked not just with nutritious food, but with the belief that every family deserves access to the resources they need to thrive, regardless of their zip code, income, or immigration status.

What We Provide

From fresh produce and culturally relevant staples to hygiene kits and diapers, our pantry is designed to meet the whole family’s needs. We offer:

  • Weekly grocery distributions

  • Emergency food support

  • Nutrition education & resource referrals

  • Special seasonal distributions (Thanksgiving, Back-to-School, Holidays)

Why It Matters

Over the past year, Toberman’s Food Pantry has supported over 4,000 individuals, ensuring no child goes to bed hungry and no elder is left without essentials. In times of crisis, whether due to job loss, housing instability, or ICE presence, our pantry is often the first place families turn to for safety and support

How You Can Help

As we continue to nourish our community through the Food Pantry, we invite you to be part of this essential service. Whether through donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, your support helps us ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and sustenance, proving that when a community comes together, hope is always on the menu.
