Dr. Linda Matlock was appointed Toberman Neighborhood Center’s Executive Director in August, 2013. Her impressive background including a 38 year career in educational leadership as a former assistant superintendent of an Orange County School District and instructor at four California public and private universities makes her an excellent choice to continue Toberman’s transformation as the premier family supporting organization in San Pedro and the surrounding Harbor Gateway Area.

Dr. Matlock is passionate about working with all of TNC’s partners; it’s staff, as well as our community and business leaders to insure the fulfillment of Toberman’s mission of ‘Empowering People for a Lifetime”. She is driven to improve the overall quality of life for all families and for creating a safer, more self-sufficient community. Building on the 111 year history and integrity of Toberman Neighborhood Center, Dr. Matlock welcomes everyone to visit and learn more about the day to day activities provided and encourages everyone to invest in building hope for a brighter future.

Castillo, FedericoFederico F. Castillo
Chief Financial Officer, CFO

Federico is a seasoned,  dedicated, creative and experienced professional with more than twenty five years of experience developing and implementing financial systems, strategies, processes and controls that significantly improve the overall financial  operation of the company. Expert in establishing accounting functions, systems and best practices; cost-reduction and maintaining business relationships to ensure fiscal performance targets are met. He finished his bachelor’s degree in accounting , minor in business management in Manila, Philippines. Moved to Guam, a U. S. territory in 1989 and worked for the hotel, healthcare, property management  and retail industries for fourteen years. He then moved to California  in 2003 and since worked in non-profit organizations where he has earned and honed his knowledge in federal and state contracts management and administration.

Federico joined Toberman in February  2013 and has been instrumental in reorganizing  a solid finance/accounting department that provides strong support for the overall financial stability of the organization.  He believes that working in a non-profit organization is a daily reminder how blessed a person can be, knowing that you are an instrument in changing the lives of those people you serve on a daily basis.
