Case Management

Intensive Case Management Services

Case Managers will work with all clients to identify problems and then develop a plan, seek, coordinate, and monitor services from a variety of resources, community agencies and staff. Case Managers are responsible for the following

Identifying client needs and goals

  • Creating and implementing client service plan
  • Monitoring service delivery
  • Advocating on behalf of the client
  • Reassessing client goals and needs periodically
  • Collaborating with referral agencies to document client progress
  • Transitioning clients from formal support systems to self-sufficiency

Counseling Services

Out-patient Counseling Services for Youth (Ages 5-17)

Legal Services

Free Public Counsel targeting homeless prevention/tenant rights.

An on-site Public Counsel attorney provides FamilySource Center clients with legal assistance and referrals on such topics as:

At-risk family services and benefits advocacy

  • Helping low-income families access tax credits
  • Immigrants’ Rights
  • Expungements
  • Landlord/tenant disputes
  • Wage garnishments
  • Traffic tickets
  • Bankruptcy (Referral)
  • Veterans issues and benefits (Referral)
  • Consumer Advocacy
  • Education Rights
  • Foster Youth Advocacy
  • Minors and the Law
  • Immigration issues
  • Homeless Court

There is no charge to meet with the attorney. An appointment is necessary to meet with the attorney. Please call 310-984-6477 to schedule an appointment.

Food Bank Distribution

Supplemental food assistance through TNC pantry department

Family Assistance
The Family Assistance program provides individuals and families with emergency food and clothing through the Toberman Food Pantry and Auxiliary Thrift Store. Additionally, the Family Assistance program links clients to our FamilySource Center for case management and support services

Income Tax Services

Utility Assistance for the Gas Company or LADWP through Li-Heap Program

  • Complete Light Bill & Gas Bill
  • Social Security Card
  • California ID or Drivers License
  • EBT Card (If Applicable)
  • Section 8 Paperwork (If Applicable)
  • Last 30 days of Check Stubs/Income (For ALL adults in the home)
  • Most current Report Cards for all school age children in the home
