Toberman Neighborhood Center is proud to have such caring supporters, and would like to Thank you for all your generosity.
Donations received during the fiscal year of 2015 has led to some very productive achievements and inspiring new partnerships. We are happy to report that families enrolled in our multi-generational literacy learning opportunities have shown improvement in all (4) four demonstrated indicators of improving quality of life.
Each Fall and Spring, children and youth attending Toberman Neighborhood Academy and Leaders in Training, are assessed in word reading, basic math skills. Parents provide report cards for analysis, and insight on target concerns or areas of improvement. Data provided allows us to track and measure the progress of students in academic developments well as social behaviors. Fiscal year comparison of 2014 to 2015 shows children enrolled in CYFS programs have shown a 15% increase in academic achievements.
Improvement in developmental assets has remained positive for the 3rd year. Improvement in all 8 categories of assets and in all 5 domains. All of our programs are strongly displaying best practices for child-serving programs. With a grading scale low 1.0 to high 5.0; our programs display a grade of 4.5 or higher in the 4 categories. For the 3rd year in a row there has been a significant increase of family involvement. This has been proven by attendance at Family engagement activities hosted at TNC, such as family art night.
