October 2007

Toberman opens newly built 36,000 square foot campus and
changes it's legal name to Toberman Neighborhohod Center.

1937

Newly-renamed Toberman Settlement House relocated to its present Barton Hill site in San Pedro.

Since 1937, Toberman Settlement House has kept pace with the diverse and changing needs of residents of San Pedro and the surrounding Harbor Area.

Agency moved to Boyle Heights.

Homer Toberman Mission founded in Echo Park as a memorial to the son of James Toberman, a six-term Los Angeles mayor, and his wife, Emma. It operated as one of the oldest United Methodist Mission Projects
It provided an infirmary, a residence for single women, and a series of youth development and delinquency prevention services
